Which word do you use?

Growing up, we used to say settee, but at some point, we switched to sofa. I'm a Londoner, but my mum was from the Midlands, so I think that was a regional thing we got from her.

Sofa, settee or couch? For JD Vance, it was just another Tuesday.

Sofa. I'll accept settee but couch sounds weird. I don't think I've ever heard anyone use it outside of American's taking the piss out of Vance.

Sofa/couch are regional in the US. Someone probably made a map of it.

Sofa for me, although growing up I remember my parents using both settee and couch as well.

Sofa. Grew up on the Midlands and now living i down South. I don't think I'd be surprised if someone said settee or sofa. I would with couch for some reason, maybe it is the American way

Couch. Loveseat if it’s a two seater.

First I ever heard the term loveseat was in Sims 2 and I thought it was just an in-game thing.

Is that actually a word used in the UK? I'm assuming you're North American from the .ca tld?

Ah yeah, I’m from Canada. Here it’s a common term.
