I think it was a very fair take on some of the issues that Linux has and totally get that they are partially staying on Windows for certain niches - hopefully those niches can be supported by Linux soon! I really resonate with the points that Linus brought up about the community. The community honestly often bites itself in the foot. People need to be more welcoming and saying "you don't need X" to someone literally asking for X is just rude and unhelpful. We need to acknowledge people's preferences and choices and their user experience.

Yeah, I don't normally watch LTT videos, but the title on this one stood out to me so I gave it a click. I didn't expect to watch it all the way through, but ended up enjoying this particular episode.
My favorite quote was the segue into the "negatives":
"Criticizing Linux feels a little bit like, walking outside on a crisp autumn day to discover that some kind neighbour has raked all the leaves in your yard. Then, tracking down that neighbour, and explaining to them that you would have done it differently."
hey it's the dude that claimed he just had to get a private jet since it was "basically free" by using what he calls "girl math" where he gets to write it off as a company expense by using it to make vlogs of his family going on vacation to Cabo - but I'm sure he truly cares about FOSS values when making videos like this 😒
F this dude

He seems like a bit of a dingus
Hasn't he said this before and gone back to Windows afterwards, doesn't his company also exclusively use Windows?
I remember back when they had a PB-scale NAS running windows server.. not sure if they still have it shudders
Shudders*
I fucked that one up
At the end he mentions that he's still going back to Windows, but the other 2 that took part in the video are switching over to Linux for their daily drivers.
So he noticed PewDiePie getting more attention because he talked about Linux and now this dingus wants in?
I mean, he also got Torvalds on and- Okay. Maybe Lemmy found that disrespectful, couldn't come over here to know (my instance went down and now I'm here on lemmy.zip).
So year of the Linux desktop!
