Wait this is meant to be a list of bad things?

Do the right actually not want child-care, a better minimum wage, or for the rich to pay their fair share? And they want massively polluting data centres next to them that'll hike up all their electricity bills??

If people on the right are actually this against their own best interests, they're fucking delusional.

  • Raising minimum wage means making things more expensive because business owners aren't going to let it eat into their profits
  • Free child care means higher taxes and less money in their pockets
  • Data centers mean more American industry
  • Taxing the rich means if they ever strike it rich, the government is just gonna take it all away
  • Publicly owned grocery stores means the government can just take away your business you built from the ground up

This is almost certainly their train of thought. It all becomes much easier to understand when you change your mindset to one of someone incredibly selfish and self centered who drinks the kool-aid and believes America to be the greatest country on earth

don't underestimate the power of hate, something the far-right has an abundance of. the 'wrong' people would also benefit from many of these policies (or harmed by others). many among the far-right, and enough to sway elections, don't give a shit about themselves or their friends or their families, so long as 'they' get hurt or denied.

people on the right are actually this against their own best interests, they're fucking delusional.

America: if other people aren't suffering then am I really winning?
