I remember hearing the joke in school in the 90s. That's a Gulf War 1 era joke at least.
I feel like I'm taking drugs, is that Saddam statue AI? I know he had a lot of statues, but something about the pose does not feel very Saddam. Struggling to put my finger on it.
Edit- upon review I think it's bullshit, Saddam didn't wave with his palm outward. All examples I can find have the palm facing towards centerline. Guy was always pointing or gesturing vaugely towards something.

Just annoyed someone had to fake a saddam statue to make their "point" it's unnecessary.
That photo may be AI, who knows anymore.
However, an almost identical statue was toppled by Iraqi citizens (some say with CIA encouragement). You can find the statue quickly with a "toppled saddam statue gulf war" search. The video is out there, also.
I saw it live during, this was decades before AI. It was replayed constantly during the war.
