  • "OP is not gay"
  • *Brings example from ancient Greece*
[–] Mulligrubs@lemmy.world 2 points 18 hours ago

I don't get it, I've always thought men were the grossest, and I am a man.

Takes all kinds, Nick, it's okay to find men more attractive; some think 800-pounders are irresistible.

[–] 01189998819991197253@infosec.pub 3 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

I love how the 'source' link is actually named 'sauce'. Error? Maybe. Fitting? Absolutely!

[–] LodeMike@lemmy.today 1 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

There was a trend pre covid of using different S words instead of "source". "Salsa", "salami", etc.

[–] vala@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 11 hours ago

This is a decades old trend for 4 chan. I remember people asking for the "sauce" in 2012.

[–] Tiger666@lemmy.ca 12 points 1 day ago

One lives in his basement and never showers and the other has all gay friends whom are nazies thru and thru.

These two deserve each other, fucking losers.

[–] arc99@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago

Incel losers clearly have attractiveness that is off the charts and too intimidating for anybody male or female to deal with. It's so bad they can't even fuck each other, because of the sheer levels of attractiveness involved.

[–] thethunderwolf@lemmy.dbzer0.com 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

"naturally attractive" do these idiots seriously think that attractiveness is objective?

[–] 01189998819991197253@infosec.pub 1 points 20 hours ago

Not objective, natural lol!

[–] horse@feddit.org 6 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

For an equally unscientific, vibes based counter-argument (not to be taken seriously): Would it not stand to reason that a highly intelligent social species like humans (that also lacks obvious physical features intended to attract a mate, like the peacock's feathers) would select a partner that is good at being social (ie. not being an arsehole) and that this is where these incels fail?

[–] Sam_Bass@lemmy.world 45 points 2 days ago (1 children)

that is the most offhand justification for being gay ever

[–] Bluewing@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago (1 children)

But still a valid justification for being gay. And I'd hazard it's a requirement that you find men far more attractive than women. Because if you don't, then you are merely Bi, (and might have the best of all worlds-- we need more science on that I think).

best of all worlds

no, thats being pansexual and polyamorous

[–] brownsugga@lemmy.world 27 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Hmmm that sounds pretty gay you guys

[–] 01189998819991197253@infosec.pub 2 points 20 hours ago

No, no. It's scientific

[–] A_Random_Idiot@lemmy.world 29 points 2 days ago (1 children)

"I'm not gay, its perfectly natural and totally hetro-masculine to get a boner over chiseled, glistening men.. Its just science!"

[–] hardcoreufo@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

I had a deeply religious room mate freshman year of college. He watched 300 at least 5 times in theaters and IDK how many times on DVD. I can only assume for the glistening chiseled men because its not that good. I always thought he was repressing his desires and this was the only way he could let them out at the time.

[–] FartMaster69@lemmy.dbzer0.com 175 points 2 days ago (2 children)

These two really need to just kiss already.

The hood stays on

[–] kkj@lemmy.dbzer0.com 44 points 2 days ago (2 children)

I feel like Fuentes is probably out of the Rat King's league. He seems to have at least heard of a toothbrush, and Ashley St. Clair claims that he's much better read than most online fascists (which tracks with what I've seen of him, he's at least aware of history and politics even if his conclusions are batshit).

The argument about birds is ignorant because of basic behaviour ecology. Arguing from Zahavis handicap hypothesis males display strength by giving themselves a handicap. Being highly visible, lumbered with pointless feathers.

Females are camouflaged since they often are the ones on the nest.

Isn't the Greek statues being male thing also partly because they didn't generally hold feminity in high regard compared to masculinity? Or was that the Romans?

[–] bdjegifjdvw@lemmy.world 1 points 22 hours ago

Women were seen as inferior men simply needed for the continuation of the species

I'm not gay but the man i sleep with is.

[–] OhStopYellingAtMe@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago

Studies have shown that at least half of all homosexual are gay.

[–] schwim@piefed.zip 112 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (2 children)

Of the two people on earth that shouldn't be judging others on their looks, I would wager asmongold and Fuentes would be in the top 5. They look like walking herpes outbreaks.

[–] RickyRigatoni@piefed.zip 45 points 2 days ago (5 children)

asmongold yeah but fuentes' attractiveness is only bogged down by his personality/politics and that stupid haircut. fix those problems and he's chained to my radiator.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 2 points 1 day ago

and hes likely not into women.

[–] man_wtfhappenedtoyou@lemmy.world 54 points 2 days ago (1 children)

You should probably chain him to your radiator anyways.

it is like saying males need to display toxic masculinity to make up for lacking any interesting character traits.

[–] ILikeBoobies@lemmy.ca 2 points 22 hours ago

Oh shit, that's what I was missing.

[–] iuseasahibtw@ani.social 23 points 2 days ago

Just come out the closet guys, but make sure to make it a stream goal first 🤣🤣🤣

Unless it's from Nietzsche

[–] Kazumara@discuss.tchncs.de 17 points 2 days ago (1 children)

So stupid. Arguing from a patriarchal society's beauty standards and not even noticing.

If you polled 100 bi people, I’d be surprised if you got fewer than 90 who said that they find women more attractive on average.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 37 points 2 days ago (7 children)

I'm an outlier; I realized that the more androgynous someone is, the hotter they are. If I can't tell what you are, I'm turned on.

Are we going to completely ignore the fact that male birds are prettied up SPECIFICALLY TO IMPRESS THEIR LADY COUNTERPARTS? Holy mother of fuck

Like biologically these critters by and large are programmed to behave in “please like me and have babies” ways. If these dorks are going to make those comparisons they’d better start building impressive houses and wearing colorful clothes to make women happy.

[–] 6244901@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago

Oh dude wtf are the chances of me seeing this after I heard the exact same thing on the radio the other day, but it was a woman saying this about other women. Impeccable timing

[–] Zier@fedia.io 26 points 2 days ago

Individuals are beautiful or ugly based on what an individual likes/dislikes. Not an entire gender. And no one has ever needed makeup, that is a choice, not a requirement. Putting makeup on someone you find repulsive will not make them acceptable, how stupid these people are.

[–] damnthefilibuster@lemmy.world 28 points 2 days ago (1 children)

These guys are so gay and so closeted they don’t even know it themselves.

"no homo, but I like dudes"

[–] SCmSTR@lemmy.blahaj.zone 7 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Remember how society did that to Michael? This is toxic masculinity doing this to gay men.

Edit: the expectations, the racism, the surgeries.

[–] Small_Quasar@lemmy.world 37 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Men and women. Males and females. Girls and boys. People are obsessed with gender to the point they forget we're all just human.

Last night I was watching these two chuds watch one of my favourite movies (Children of Men) and one of them, responding to Julianne Moore's character's behaviour said "Ah, I HATE women like that!" and it genuinely caused my brain to skip a beat. There was nothing about the character's actions that was specific to female behaviour. I don't understand why he couldn't have said "I hate PEOPLE like that."

I am an aspiring writer. I did a beta reader swap with one of my colleagues who just like me would like to be a sci-fi author. He was desperate to know how I was "so good" at writing women. Dude, lol, it's not hard. Literally all you have to do to avoid all the men-writing-women pitfalls is remember that women are human beings first and women second, with all the same desires, hopes and fears as men.
