Headscale is an open-source self-hosted implementation of the Tailscale control server built for privacy-first users, homelabs, and selfhosters.

It allows you to create your own WireGuard-based mesh VPN network while keeping control of the coordination server yourself instead of relying entirely on Tailscale’s infrastructure.
