Flippant Anarchism. A lighter take on social criticism with the aim of agitation.

Post humorous takes on capitalism and the states which prop it up. Memes, shitposting, screenshots of humorous good takes, discussions making fun of some reactionary online, it all works.

This community is anarchist-flavored. Reactionary takes won't be tolerated.

Don't take yourselves too seriously. Serious posts go to !anarchism@lemmy.dbzer0.com

Rules

  1. If you post images with text, endeavour to provide the alt-text

  2. If the image is a crosspost from an OP, Provide the source.

  3. Absolutely no right-wing jokes. This includes "Anarcho"-Capitalist concepts.

  4. Absolutely no redfash jokes. This includes anything that props up the capitalist ruling classes pretending to be communists.

  5. No bigotry whatsoever. See instance rules.

  6. This is an anarchist comm. You don't have to be an anarchist to post, but you should at least understand what anarchism actually is. We're not here to educate you.

  7. No shaming people for being anti-electoralism. This should be obvious from the above point but apparently we need to make it obvious to the turbolibs who can't control themselves. You have the rest of lemmy to moralize.

Sigh This is becoming a weekly thing.

Context:

I regularly have takes which upset libs (anti-electoralism, primarily), and I regularly have takes which upset MLs (anti-"AES", primarily). When this happens, my words sometimes ends up in a post in some drama comm with a lot of people insisting that I'm clearly in the "bad group". I.e. Libs will call me a tankie, and MLs will call me a lib, as is tradition.

So when this happens, like clockwork, the flip-side of this particular equation (Libs<>MLs), will make a post in their own drama comm, smugly gloating about how "they knew this would happen".

People, when I state a political position, I'm not doing it to cozy up to non-anarchist movements, it's because that's what I actually believe...non-anarchists being upset is not in my list of concerns. It is what it is.

I generally consider liberalism and tankieism to be the same ideology with opposing imperial branding.

I honestly agree. Not to mention, (on another Lemmy account) I once got banned from the .ml meme group because I opposed the CCP and the USSR. I'm a Westerner, therefore I must know nothing besides propaganda 💀. If I believed in pure capitalist propaganda, I wouldn't be an anarcho-communist lmao.

Political backstabbing is when two downvotes.

MLs are the fucking worst. They complain anarchists are shit because they won’t read Lenin, don’t support North Korea because everything bad is actually “western media talking points”, or that they disagree with authority. Meanwhile they circlejerk over gulags and go “anarky is when no bed time”.

Some try to be more neutral and say shit like “it’s just western anarchists” while they do nothing but post memes on Matrix channels as if they’re doing praxis and we aren’t or something.

It’s tiring listening to red fash. Wish they would get their head out of their fucking ass.
