How the fuck do you make people stupid enough to keep voting republican? It boggles my mind!

"If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pockets. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you."
It's sad how this is still so true
Defunding schools while funneling massive amounts of money into ads and sports to start
Don't forget religious revival and UFOs
Step 1: Defund education.
Step 2: Fund religion.
Step 3: Profit.
It’s really that simple.
A steady, 40+ year IV drip feed of Fox News, conservative talk radio and pundits, and added during more modern times, swarms of mouthbreathing MAGA influencers, swathes of Russian bot farms, and AI generated disinformation.
It really is this. Every Republican I know wears it like a personality, as if they see it as "their subculture".
It's not by the strength of their arguments, but their ability to present an "appealing worldview" to their demographic.
And this ability is built off the back of unfathomable sums of money pumped into a 24/7 propaganda machine meant to make you feel good about being in the group, to make you believe these are just "obvious common sense opinions" that most people believe, and to spin all issues in their favor.
By convincing them the Democrats are just as bad.
I mean if you do jack shit all to make any real change... and just keep things moving along as they are... are you really any better?
As opposed to actively making things worse? Absolutely.
“Not actively destroying everything” is a far cry from “not doing anything.”
Here’s the thing: Under today’s US political system, we have two parties: The party actively trying to dismantle all the gains of the past 100 years, and… Everyone else. The GOP call them “the dems,” but in reality, that huge tent encompasses EVERYONE else, who may not agree on much, but at least want to stop the bleeding.
worse even
Propaganda on all fronts. Online, on TV, in person, at church, on radio. If every place has the same narrative, you believe it. Especially if you've been doing it for decades across generations like the United States. You're always going to trust people you know and care about over people you're off put by.
Treat Politics like a sport, and make people choose one team or another - for LIFE!
You know when your team is buried in last place, and is never going to recover for at least a few seasons, and yet there is still that guy who shows up with the big foam finger and screams "WE'RE NUMBER ONE!"? That guy is MAGA.
Also the Republican party is so unpopular right now, that the only way they can win is if they cheat. i.e. gerrymandering.
Any person would assume this would be a crippling move for a government with an effective wipeout of all their reps, but experience tells us that the US voters will consistently vote against their interests. Should be interesting to watch the Republicans gain even more seats against all better judgement. Is it just raw stupidity we're watching or some sort of mass election fraud?
It's both.
Consecutives who can’t afford cancer treatments will still vote for him with their literal dying breath.
Racism, sexism, and shitty education.
If the ACA was the amazing thing many think it is then removing the, relatively minor, tax incentive shouldn't have much of a result.
Implementing the tax cuts in the first place didn't have much of an effect (1.3% increase in 18-65 insurance rate post 2021). Removing it likely won't have much more of a negative effect.
The problem is the ACA itself which is neither affordable nor does it provide care.
