I'm Initiate VI and I'd like to stay there because every time I'm put into a Seeker match it feels like someone turned up the toxicity dial. I tell myself it's worth rank climbing because I'll get to play with people who play objective and meta better but it does seem like the higher the rank, the greater the throwing and aimless jungle team fight feeding (While at least one of their guardians is still standing 20 minutes into the match). They're more game aware but the real question is do they care.

The problem in initiate is that even if I play at a significantly higher level it can become impossible to carry due to the ineptitude of people, or there are smurf/ranklocked people and i get decimated. I'm actively working on both my macro and micro and trying to improve but i feel like unless I get a 4-6 stack together shitty teammates are gonna prevent me from winning games.
It sucks when you get a shit team, but as you can see you will rank up despite losing if you play well enough. Look at that big dip in my win/loss ratio but my rank just kept climbing anyways. My rank has plateaued now but thats because im trying out new characters... (cope) Also good on you for not quitting the game after starting off on a 10 loss streak lol

Oh yeah I'm still climbing, I've been putting time in on Kovaacs to warm up and have been steadily improving my micro and macro every game. It's just in taking it more seriously as a competitive game losing becomes a lot less fun and having people who have no desire to win continuously grt put on your team is tilting. i need to work on my mental because I know i'm improving technically and mechanically and the limiting factor is gonna be my mindset. i just needed to scream into the void for a sec :3
The void screams back :3
Exactly. I main Rem, and I pick up key player or mvp in the majority of games, but he basically requires a decent brawler or carry to fight alongside, and that often simply doesn't exist in Initiate. I just finished a game with an Abrams who I'd save from certain death with a Pillow Toss and Nap Time so he can escape, and while I'm sleeping on him he would just hurtle himself back into a 1v4. Now instead of just him dying it was both of us dying. You have to just let your teammate die on their own in Initiate more often than the pro-teamwork player in me is comfortable with, they just won't learn otherwise.
I main Geist so with betrer skill i should be able to carry, but it's difficult to outfarm fed lanes. In our duo we've had to crash lane early so we can gank and farm further out
