This is very obviously aged-up. Cameron Diaz is 53 not 73.

You are correct. It is aged up.

A different photo from the same shoot:

Gotta make sure women know that they’re considered ugly when they age /s

Cameron Diaz claps back at trolls as she welcomes baby at 53

[–] CitizenKong@lemmy.world 9 points 4 days ago

And she looks great.

[–] brbposting@sh.itjust.works 5 points 4 days ago

So the OP goes against her wishes and is showing a face that doesn’t belong to her?

Jokes aside OP is then an unlabeled manipulated photo which a person won’t catch unless they know Ms. Diaz. This is bad and we can’t stand for it.

[–] Banana@sh.itjust.works 13 points 5 days ago

I was gonna say this looks older than it should

shrug

Maybe if the post had been from .ml or .hexbear or something, they'd have been faster to respond.

Messaged the one mod here… seems not to have posted in a month

She's dating Fred Durst?

[–] zeroConnection@programming.dev 19 points 4 days ago

That's not a real photo though, at best it's Photoshop, but more likely AI slop.

[–] hperrin@lemmy.ca 70 points 5 days ago (14 children)

That is a refreshingly good and healthy view from a celebrity.

Meanwhile at the other end of the spectrum:

[–] plz1@sh.itjust.works 19 points 4 days ago

Whoa, I didn't know a new Laura Loomer photo dropped...

[–] Tore@piefed.world 2 points 4 days ago

That's Simon Cowell!

This quote has to be bullshit. Cameron Diaz had a lot of work done and has been open about regretting that. It's too late now tho, her face is all plastic and will never look normal again.

Edit:

Looked it up, not bullshit, she actually said it. 20/20 hindsight...

Almost like it’s incredibly hard to not succumb to societal pressures of anti-aging especially when you’re in the public.

Hahahaha yeah yeah, you first, my dude. I'm sure you've never done ANYTHING that you regretted or was influenced by outside pressures.

I'm just so thrilled that all the Lemmy users here are making fun of a woman's face. It's such a good use of your time and energy.

Certainly choosing to be respectful of how another person looks would be doing the hard thing?

[–] Feathercrown@lemmy.world 2 points 4 days ago

I think there is value in agressively spreading anti-anti-aging messaging, but yeah you have to be careful about the people you're talkingg about while doing it.

I get you, however people can change their minds. Per your comment, she regrets the work she had done. Perhaps she’s saying this now because of what she went through, and not only follows what she now believes but also hopes to inspire others before they make the same mistake.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 4 points 4 days ago (1 children)

she probably sees in all the hollywood women who has plastic surgery and botox, they had to keep up the looks or else they dont get cast in any roles in hollywood. also botox causes atrophy so people are addicted to getting more.

if anyone watches ISAIP show you can see the drastic changes with rob and kaitlyn in the show from 1 season to another.

[–] notwhoyouthink@lemmy.zip 2 points 4 days ago

Aaah mannnnnn don’t get me started on Kaitlyn’s plastic surgery, and of course Rob’s bothers me too. Funnily enough Glen’s doesn’t bother me because well…Dennis. He’s all about demonstrating that value.

Luckily, I’ve noticed in the last couple of seasons it appears they’ve all either stopped or cut way down on the work they’ve been getting. IMO it was incredibly distracting and super unrealistic for the characters they play on the show. IMO again, I think it would have been super funny and easy to write in the work they’ve had done into the show, esp since they’ve been leaning quite hard into physical cringe/discomfort humor.

Interesting what you said about pressure to look good in Hollywood, as IIRC Kaitlyn did mention this in an interview a while back.

[–] stray@pawb.social 3 points 4 days ago

While I agree that it's terrible that people feel pressured to get surgeries they regret, I don't agree with using that kind of shaming language. Just let people be.

[–] NocturnalMorning@lemmy.world 10 points 4 days ago

Is this AI generated? She does not look like that.

[–] Sunsofold@lemmings.world 24 points 5 days ago (4 children)

Even in this image, which has probably been manipulated to make her look older, she still seems to have aged better than the distorted faces of some others who probably spent hundreds of thousands on cosmetic surgery. She's about the same age as Bezos' wife for a point of comparison.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 5 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

the wife looks like an alien, with that freakish large smile.

Yeah I agree but I'd rather see neither. Aging gracefully is better than plastic surgery but I hope anti-aging geroscience develops significantly within the next decade so that I can essentially perpetually look 30 or so and feel 25.

Hope its not a pipedream. It might be though.
