100%, no reason this should have been a post race penalty if it's going to be a time penalty.
They literally explain why they had to wait in the text.
I realise that, but I don't see what footage they wouldn't have been able to get after the race that they couldn't get during the race. Or do they not have access to all the onboard cameras on the cars during the race? That would explain it but I'd be surprised if that were the case.
I agree, I was merely pointing out that it seems to be a reason - which I also find surprising, but we also have to remember that they have a race still going on with around 20 cars to monitor. It makes sense to delay some decisions if deemed appropriate.
Iโm mainly bothered by lots of comments and opinions - including prominent media/youtube - which donโt even look really into the decision making for each penalty and just care to ramp up the noise picturing things as controversial.
Max investigations always seem to be resolved post-race.
Hamilton fanboi spotted
You seem sensitive.
You too!
Now kith!
It would be sensational
Why bother give him a penalty during the race? So he can make up the lost time?
Yes? He should be given the chance. As should his competitors be given the chance to factor that into strategy. Everyone should want this.
