This is kind of disappointing for me. I find anything LOTR related just so overdone and cliche by this point. I was hoping for something a little more original.

I can understand that, but tbh I haven't personally played that many LoTR games, and the recent ones are meh to bad. I replayed a bit of Battle for Middle-Earth 1 and 2 a couple years back, and those are great.

Really hoping this isn't the case. LotR IP isn't in a good place these days, with all the adaptations being made that don't have the rights to the time periods or events they want to portray.

We don't need another half-baked property about the heroic quest for Galadriel's bidet, Gollum's cock ring, or whatever McGuffin they come up with as a placeholder for The Ring.

Let the Professor's work rest. No-one is doing his writing any favors by making a mockery out of it.
