Subreddit Rules

Keep It European

Memes should be relevant to Europe, Europeans, or European culture. Off-topic memes will be removed.

No Hate Speech or Bigotry

Racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, and other forms of hate speech are strictly prohibited. Satire is welcome, but not at the expense of marginalized groups.

No Spam or Self-Promotion

Don’t flood the sub with your own content or links. Participate genuinely.

English Preferred, but Multilingual Welcome

While English is the main language, memes in other European languages are allowed if the humor is clear or a translation is provided.

Be Kind and Constructive

Disagreements happen, but keep discussions civil. Personal attacks, trolling, or harassment will result in bans.

The shape matters because different sauces have different consistencies.

If you're eating a massive hoagie you want a thick roll, if you're eating caviar you want a thin cracker.

I would like to subscribe to pasta facts.

The dude in the disney rat chef movie's named linguine, which is flat spaghetti.

Subscribe for more bad quality information about pasta.

And the pasta texture. See Gnocchi.

[–] ParlimentOfDoom@piefed.zip 11 points 1 week ago

Gnocchi is tater tots, not pasta

Don't tell me what I want. This is why no one respects yurapeein traditions. Pineapple on pizza is fucking delicious.

Bees who make honey don't argue with flies who like to eat manure.

the white man is the most superior race

Thanks Rowling, very cool.

[–] DagwoodIII@piefed.social 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

This is why we don't put pineapple on pizza.

In sweden they put banana on pizza.

[–] ArmoredThirteen@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 week ago

I had this recently and it's actually weirdly good. Specifically it is banana chicken curry and the flavors go together quite well. I'm not a fan of banana and assumed I'd dislike it but I was proven wrong

[–] DagwoodIII@piefed.social 3 points 1 week ago

In 1658 Sweden was the powerhouse of Europe.

They ruled an empire that stretched from the Arctic to Germany and deep into Russia.

Then they put a banana on a pizza and this is the result.

Cavatappi > Macaroni > Penne > Farfalle (fuck those bowties in particular)

[–] Valmond@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Yeah what are you supposed to eat with farfalle anyway? Also, overcook the external while the middle is still al dente++

Looks at skill

It's boiling water

[–] BlackVenom@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

Water was clearly too boily.

2 quick

[–] Valmond@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Well how the _*# do you boil them correctly?!

[–] certified_expert@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago

I imagine a gentler boil maybe not even full boil.

[–] youCanCallMeDragon@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Macaroni is number 2? The elbows?

Cavatappi > Penne > Rigatoni > Spaghetti > Farfalle > Orzo > Linguini > Macaroni > Rotini

[–] funkless_eck@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I'd put conchiglie pasta pretty high, I make "mac" n cheese with it because it holds the sauce so well

[–] Jesus_666@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

I'd also like to mention gnocchetti sardi as my go-to for pesto, for the same seasons.
