Have to hope that if enough people tell Minato enough times in enough different ways that he's a dick, he'll at least be self-aware enough to try to be somewhat less of a dick.

Yea, lotta action in this episode. Things are really heating up with Minato getting several earfuls. At least he was very considerate of Miki's viewpoint once she made it known.

It's amazing how he simply can't stop from stepping into landmines with Koyun even though he's just trying to banter.

Well... yeah, he was very considerate of her viewpoint... for about 30 seconds.

It seems that if he focuses entirely and maintains his concentration, he can manage to be considerate and self-aware for a bit. But then the moment his concentration falters, he drops right back to being a dick. Watching him is almost like watching someone who's only intermittently conscious - like from time to time, his eyes focus and you can see that his mind is actually working, and for that brief moment, he's aware. Then it fades and he wanders away again.

I'm trying to cut him some slack, because it seems like it's not deliberate. But he's just like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.

You're not wrong. He's got socializing down to a T as an art form, but doesn't have anything going on inside, so it creates these problems for him. People clearly assume that he's deeper than he is, and are disappointed to find out.

I saw another commenter note that all the while he was bombarding Koyun with questions, we don't actually know the first thing about his interests and hobbies. Makes sense to just assume he doesn't have any?

That said, I don't think he's irredeemable because of the interaction with Miki. It's not that he was completely in the wrong with Koyun, either, he couldn't possibly know how deep her anxieties go. Only the viewers have had access to her insecurities so far, so the blow-up was at the very least unexpected if not unwarranted. Can't wait for the next episode!

I think that this time was really a critical hit that will force him to reconsider his life choices...

Same sentiments as the rest of the comments here. Dude is so irritating and frustrating. I can give it a pass if he wasn’t aware, but he was literally already told to quit doing what he was doing, and he still does it. Can’t believe those two are gonna end up together if they actually do.
