Look I get the message, but, what? This isn't how venn diagrams work, like at all. Imperialism + Racism = Patriarchy? Racism is separate from settler colonialism? What? If you want to list bad shit then just list bad shit. Making it stupid doesn't make it interesting.

it made me lol a lot

this must be the kind of "science" commies believe they believe

is a pretty flower shape tho

[–] ddplf@szmer.info 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Elaborate please, what kind of "science" do commies believe and who do you mean by commies?

[–] K1nsey6@lemmy.world 0 points 1 week ago (1 children)

They don't know commie any more than a backwoods can't read Republican

[–] cathfish@lemmy.world 8 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Yes all those things are fucked up... But as it was said, this diagram doesn't make any sense. It's just AI slop. This kind of (de)generated slop just make people fighting against those fucked up things look stupids. Please don't.

[–] K1nsey6@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Calling everything you don't like ai slop is intellectually lazy and ill informed in an age where a simple image search shows the image has been around since at least 2016

[–] Jikiya@lemmy.world 8 points 1 week ago

It's still dumb. Patriarchy only existing due to capitalism is also dumb. Patriarchy has to be one of the oldest human ideas. It exists almost everywhere (I know there are exceptions).

[–] cathfish@lemmy.world 0 points 1 week ago

Wow it's human slop then. Even make it worse.

[–] Tiresia@slrpnk.net 8 points 1 week ago (1 children)

This looks like AI-generated slop. The categories make no sense.

[–] K1nsey6@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Was ai slop around in 2016 or are you just lazy and calling things you don't like slop?

[–] Jikiya@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

May not be AI, but it's slop.

[–] mfed1122@discuss.tchncs.de 0 points 1 week ago

Ah, we found where the AI gets it from!

[–] Feathercrown@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago

What kind of AI slop level nonsense is this? Racism + imperialism = patriarchy??

[–] ATS1312@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 1 week ago

Some of us would swap capitalism and hierarchy, and describe the whole thing as "civilization".

[–] Korhaka@sopuli.xyz 4 points 1 week ago

Strangest venn diagram I have ever seen

[–] Hadriscus@jlai.lu 2 points 1 week ago

Some of these make sense, like white supremacy being the spirit child of racism and hierarchy, but most others don't really.... also I don't think this diagram should have a center. Capitalism is a symptom as much as it is a cause in this vicious circle.

Racism isn't inherent to capitalism. Racism in the U.S. is very low yet capitalism still exists.

Edit: I realize I don't know what this image is saying. All these things have come together to make what we call Capitalism. I forgot what my original point was. I guess a lot of these are similar to racism in that they're not "inherent", just convenient.

You thought it was good idea to type that and hit Submit?!?!

Is there anywhere it's low?

[–] ddplf@szmer.info 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Well shit I'd say there is plenty of places it's lower in than in the jolly US of fucking dixy A

[–] LodeMike@lemmy.today 0 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Literally give me an example. Americans are a generally accepting group. Very diverse too.

[–] ddplf@szmer.info 2 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Do I really have to do that? You've elected a deranged white supremacist lunatic for your supreme leader. And then did it again. All that while living in a police state.

Do you even remember George Floyd? This shit being considered controversial was fucking wild. And things haven't improved one bit ever since.

And don't get me started on the US fucking history.

But fine, maybe I'm being overly zealous - after all, that applies only to the black... And also the hispanic... And also the Indian... And also the Filipino... And the Chinese... And also [...]

[–] LodeMike@lemmy.today 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Once again not giving an example. You probably know that the Western world is very much at the low end of the racisn spectrum, or at least its population is.

[–] ddplf@szmer.info 0 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

I gave you two very explicit examples even though you only asked for one. Or are you trying to say that neither Donald Trump's victory nor George Floyd's murder signal there's anything deeply wrong with modern day Americans. In that case - sorry, I can't help you.

And don't you go trying to switch the main focus of this conversation onto the west as a whole, because your very own claim was only about the America.
