When they forget about you:

/c/TenForward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!
Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.
~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags.
Use spoiler tags in comments, and NSFW checkbox for posts.
This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'
~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.
Fun will now commence.

Shax is security. You want Billups.

You got me. Fixed.
I guess I'll have to actually watch Lower Decks to understand why Shax is always the one trying to eject the core or why typing "lower decks chief engineer" into duckduckgo's image search mostly returns pictures of Shax.
Shax just really wants to eject the warp core. Just tactical things is all.
The comics Shax's Best Day during Day of Blood and then Shax's Worst Day during the following Lore War were so good.
This fallls way outside of ten forward, but the absolute king of polarity reversal in really all of scifi is Jon Pertwee's Doctor Who. Yes it's very old, but you will literally get at least one polarity reversal per story arc. Honestly he's probably the progenitor of all polarity reversals.
I’m reversing the polarity, you’re reversing it back again. We’re confusing the polarity!
IIRC, Jon Pertwee didn't like technobabble, so used "reverse the polarity" as his go-to phrase. Funnily enough, he only says "reverse the polarity of the neutron flow" twice! (The Sea Devils & The Five Doctors).
...of the neutron flow yeah. He just plain reversed polarity in general more times than that. He was a professional polarity wrestler :D
he made sure ds9 would not function without him being there, so he is constantly needed and not firable.
Reverse the polarity of the neutron flow?!
Dr. Flox: “The neutrinos are mutating.”
No O'Brien you fucking up.
Why is op making our chief suffer?
Oh wait I get it
I'm suddenly reminded of Chief O'Brien at Work
At work I’m always reminded reminded of chief Obrien at work. Mostly the crushing suffering
he did it one last time, and got nuked in a different universe by trying to be a tyrant.
O'Brien is the fifth of four
To reverse polarity the energy has to pass through a zero state
They're literally just turning shit off and on again
Scotty: "You're not supposed to give the secrets away, laddie!"
Kirk: How long until you get this fixed, Scotty?
Scotty: About 4 hours sir, but for you I'll get it done in 2.
[Scotty pushes 1 button, issue is fixed, he goes and gets hammered]
they're plugging it in backwards
"The tachyon field ..." "just fix it"
Trip took reversing the polarity to new heights.
