I have gotten to know a neighbour, they help with small things when they can, and I try to radicalise them at every opportunity lol, but on a serious note I think just knowing and having someone like me to consider has had a serious impact on their views (on benefits, landlords, government scapegoating, and all sorts). Our existence is radical. The system wants us dead, and as fucking difficult and painful and exhausting as it is, every time we make it to tomorrow, it is an act of defiance.
Just be careful of Tankies trying to get you to join their Jinping and Putin cult.

To anyone that needs to hear it though: get out if you can - there are many places inside the USA that are more welcoming than others. Not everyone can, and it hurts the electoral college voting for the future to not remain inside MAGA counties, but perhaps that ship has sailed regardless - take care of yourself first, you are worth keeping around!:-) 💗

I think a good way to cope is to identify what you believe to be the main cause of this and then identify real actions that will fight against it. Most important is that it is something actionable where you can do real things to fight. No matter how radical.
The federal government is going to be gutted and destroyed. It's time to focus on local change. Nationwide isn't going to work for a while but focus on your city, your state, your block and your house. Live your values everywhere. Focus your attention on what matters and can be controlled
