Wait, all grubhub drivers are employees? ... Meaning they now get payed to clock in and work, which means being paid to wait for orders, and being compensated for costs, and probably having insurance covered while on-the-clock and various other things. Just like pizza and other food delivery drivers used to have... Only they likely don't have tasks to work on while they wait for orders.
I mean they aren't contractors, their time and effort benefits grubhub, and they are limited in their work related choices (how they work) by their employer.
I wonder how economicaly viable the platform is if it has to work like a legit business.
Big businesses participate in so much theft, it's rediculous. What the fuck are we doing as a society?
