STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT will be released this year
There is also the STEINS;GATE ELITE, which costs more than twice as much as the original, but it has the drawing style from the anime and some actual animations. Visual novels usually only have frozen images.

She is an 18-year-old neuroscience researcher at an American university who can speak and read English well. Having had her research published in the academic journal Science at this age, Kurisu is extremely talented. She had skipped a grade in the American school system.

I only played the game, but it is awesome. The time travel mechanic is pretty much made for VN. To some degree the dialog is basically looping. But in VN you can usually skip dialog you’ve already seen.
Considering where we are here: the VN has an ending, where Lukako stays a girl
Reversing Lukako's D-Mail was probably one of the hardest decisions in the game, but I wanted to reach all ending.
I played it with Proton five years ago, but there is also a reimplementation https://github.com/FGRE/steins-gate, if you wanna give Week of the Linux Desktop a shot.
