Quite a few, strangely enough. "The freer the market the freer the people" is a phrase I used to hear much more often when I frequented less left-wing spaces.
Even as a bright-eyed and bushy-tailed teenage capitalist I found the notion... reductive.
yeah, maybe "the freer the market the freer the people with a lot of capital" as we can very clearly see with the billionaires. but your circles must have been crazy, I dont think I remember meeting a left leaning person arguing for free markets.
Like I said, when I frequented less left-wing spaces than I do now.
ah my bad, didn't read the "less", makes way more sense :D
Democracy under capitalism just means the power of the state is for sale to the highest bidder.
