I don't understand what is the purpose of the article if it didn't have research attached. The only thing useful is that meme from Dan Guido, CEO and co-founder of cybersecurity firm Trail of Bits.

I think the article says an anonymous source shared their discovery, which 404 then asked Trail of Bits to verify, which they did. I would love to see more, but I don't see a scrap of data on the claim yet.

Agreed.

Though given how Teleguard works, I think this article is incorrect. I thought they kept an encrypted backup of your chats, and you had the key (though it's been a while since I tested it).

But I would very much like to read the research - this is important info, and we need to know the details.
