I'm looking forward to the top looking less tarnished than the bottom in a few years.

when real engineering meets the cybertruck

[–] NoOutlinesBand@lemmy.world 1 points 19 hours ago

I'm not touring in that

[–] RAFAELRAMIREZ@lemmy.world 1 points 23 hours ago

Cybertruck really said I can be anything… including a work van 😅

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 16 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Guy needed a truck for work, and he got a big boner for Trump and Musk, and bought a SwastiKKKar. It quickly became apparent that it was completely inadequate for work, or anything else really, but at that point it had a resale value of less than zero, so he had no choice but to make it work.

[–] Aeri@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I checked carvana for a price and people are trying to get 80k for the mfs lmao fat chance

[–] _stranger_@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago (2 children)

If it goes down another 20K, it'll be priced at what it was originally promised. Another 40K off that and now we're talking good used truck prices.

[–] Aeri@lemmy.world 1 points 23 hours ago

I wouldn't want one if it was given to me for free I'd be trying to offload it ASAP. I've heard news about people being trapped in their burning "Bulletproof" scifi refrigerator and dying. None for me thanks.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 1 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

There's also the scenario that he got a killer deal in a private sale from someone who just wanted to unload it at any price. They just didn't want to be seen driving it, or keeping it in their driveway.

I've met a few SwastiKKKar owners who claim they bought it before they knew Musk was a psycho, and would get rid of it, if that were possible. There is absolutely no used market for Teslas.

[–] bitjunkie@lemmy.world 1 points 23 hours ago (2 children)

There's no such thing as a "killer deal" on a car that might burn you alive.

[–] FlexibleToast@lemmy.world 2 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

Isn't that a literal definition of a killer deal?

[–] mrgoosmoos@lemmy.ca 9 points 1 day ago (3 children)

there are enough valid reasons to shit onto he cybertruck that there's no need for us to pretend this exact mod isn't done to plenty of regular trucks

[–] Test_Tickles@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Ya, but this is not a truck any more than the Hyundai Santa Cruz is a truck. It's UTE. And anyone who does this to their Santa Cruz would also deserve to be mocked.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

You're kind of both missing the point. It isn't really about the truck. MAGAs should be bullied and abused as much as possible. The truck is only a good excuse to heap on more scorn. He could have driving a perfectly acceptable ride, and I'd still excoriate them.

MAGAs are the only acceptable targets for bullying, and it should be savage.

[–] Test_Tickles@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

They are a bunch of bullies who bully other people. Bullying is nothing new, if anything it's a mark of pride. No, what they can't deal with is not fitting in, somehow being different. This is why they are antivax. They would rather have dead kids than some neurodiverse weirdos. Also dead children give you a huge sympathy bonus, whereas a weird kid gets you uninvited from get togethers.

So, if you really want to upset them you have to point out just how weird their weird shit is.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 1 points 1 day ago

Interesting perspective, I'm not sure I agree, but MAGAs are weird enough that it may well be true.

So, if you really want to upset them you have to point out just how weird their weird shit is.

Yeah, they got really bent when Walz started calling them Weirdos, but then the Democratic Schoolmarms got involved and decreed that it was mean to call out Treasonous Racist Pedophiles for the Weirdos they are, and Dems stopped.

New rule: If it pisses them off, EVERYBODY do it! And don't stop until they cry. Actually, when they cry, slap them, and get meaner.

If I ordered a contractor for a job and they showed up with that piece of shit in my driveway, I'd demand my money back even if I never paid them anything yet.

[–] can@sh.itjust.works 10 points 1 day ago (1 children)

They're now calling themselves the heart of the internet?

[–] Test_Tickles@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The dark corrupted Nazi heart.

Can never be sure these days, lol

It looks apocalyptic, but wouldn't last long in an apocalypse.

[–] kbobabob@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 1 day ago

The front isn't even attached and is just floating. I'm waiting for some wind to rip that thing off.

If this camper’s a-clankin’

Don’t knock — I’m wankin’

[–] PhoenixDog@lemmy.world 2 points 20 hours ago

"If this camper's a-clankin' it's probably because I drove through some water and these things rust like a bastard"

[–] SCmSTR@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

There are two types of people that buy Teslas:

  1. People that buy them as Nazi jewelry

  2. People that buy them as Nazi technology

[–] rumba@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 day ago

ngl, if it was cheap enough and I had a garage, I'd buy old ones to build a powerwall.

I don't like tesla or the people that bought them after mush was established, but i'd be more than happy to pay them 10% of the money they paid for 100% of the hardware and use it against the corporations.

In later follow-up she said her franken-truckla suffered electrical problems, rain leakage, and has been relegated to someone's backyard, rotting away under a tarp.

[–] noughtnaut@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Sure, I mean it was a bit of a hack job. Doesn't detract from the fact that she did something quite unique, nor does it imply that this one posted by OP is any more rain proof...

[–] JennaR8r@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 day ago

I wonder if she ever took the plunge and bought a real cyber truck when they came out.

[–] antlion@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 2 days ago

Looks great actually. Simpler to build than a curved body. Nice flat lumber rack on top so you can build more for your friends, because let’s face it at this point your only friends are from the local Cybertruck club. A+

Looks like something the old Top Gear presenters would build

[–] captain_aggravated@sh.itjust.works 16 points 2 days ago (7 children)

Tonoight:

  • James trips over a phone cord, "Oh cock!"

  • Hammond says the word 'egalitarian' "Egalitarian."

  • and I hit a man with a shovel. PANG "oof!" "Sorry."
