No joke:
Guide my wife followed on how to develop a walking habit had as one of its first directives: Park far from the entrance of the store.
Guide has been effective, though. She by now just walks directly from home most of the time if she needs something, carrying a backpack.
(I did that before already. Got accustomed to it during the 00s, not owning a car back then)
Love the people that will circle until they find the closest parking spot, meanwhile I've already finished shopping and left the store and then they have to wait for everyone coming out of the store to pull out of their parking spot, because they're too close.
