If they hate the drug so much why don't they go after the maker of the drug?

Because the maker is a billion dollar company and they won't go after their own.

It needs to be said too, that as inappropriate as it is for a healthcare facility's security guard to squeal on a patient, that medical staff aren't free and clear of collaboration with law enforcement, and do it frequently. People in general need to understand that although speaking with a physician is considered privileged conversation, they don't rise to the level of privacy as that found when discussing actions considered illegal by the state with a lawyer. They will call the cops, and you need to shut the fuck up about actions or events which may be construed as illegal by whatever jurisdiction in which you find yourself receiving medical care.

Things like admitting that you put out your back while making love to your same-sex partner in countries where homosexuality is illegal, for example. Don't include unnecessary details, for the love of God. At least try to maintain plausible deniability.
