  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

blowing up the largest oil field in the world would be absolutely mental and therefore this is just a bluff, right? there's no way he would actually bomb South Pars off the map because it would immediately cause permanently geopolitical shifts + Iran bombing Israel and then.. lol

Destroying oil and gas infrastructure and blocking supply is Iran's only real card to play at this point. If the administration takes out Iran's infrastructure it will skyrocket prices for everyone as well.

As if a promise to not attack their gas fields is worth anything. Israel respects nothing, least of all this cuck president's promises, if they can even hear him with the ghost of epstein's dick in his mouth.

I don't know how anyone is still listening to this guy, let alone take it seriously. He just says things, just to say something, all the time.

[–] 2piradians@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

Indeed he does. The concepts of responsibility, wisdom, respect, humility...he is incapable of grasping any of those and many more.

Our enemies hate us even more. Our allies may remain allied on paper, but we already see them turning away in practice. Obviously they're right to do so.

Trump is squandering whatever good will and consideration the US has built with the world since its founding...and he's oblivious to any of that.

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago

Uh, no. He just started a major war. Obviously, the US armed forces listen to him, even when he's just as obviously completely out of his mind.

His command of the English language is as singular as his intellect.

What's the new line on Mesopotamia on the daily show nothing bad will happen it can only good happen I like that one.

Is there a web site that tracks the most grammatical incorrect word salad snippets? If there isn't one someone should make one.

[–] somethingsnappy@lemmy.world 1 points 2 hours ago

How would you keep up with it?

"Massively blow up" is the kind of expression that indicates that a person is a complete fucking drooling moron. It's the type of expression that should be utterly disqualifying for any serious role in any serious situation and yet here we are.

We're a nation full up of fucking suckers, and unfortunately even the vast minority of people that aren't bottom sucking dupees have to live with it.

We suck. We're like a drunk school bus driver trying to say that we're sober enough to drive the kids to school when in reality we've got a .20 BAC at 6:30am.

I remember when publicly misspelling potato or doing an enthusiastic scream was viewed as disqualifying for the dignity of public office. Nowadays you can make endless typos, speak like a mentally handicapped gangster, betray everyone you've ever made a promise to, shit your whole ass on TV, fuck kids, say you want to fuck your own kids, talk about getting away with murder (figurative and otherwise), and memorably disgrace the entire nation more often than most people take exercise.

This is a good time to go all in on renewables.

[–] teyrnon@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 hour ago

It is, but it's also a time the oil companies have never been more powerful.

[–] ryannathans@aussie.zone 6 points 5 hours ago* (last edited 5 hours ago)

Complete bluff, they'll massively blow up the oil field right after they massively blow me

[–] SkavarSharraddas@gehirneimer.de 22 points 7 hours ago

He's a demented asshole desperate to show his "power" the only way he knows - by destroying something.

[–] fizzle@quokk.au 14 points 7 hours ago

He seems to have found the one fucking thing that Americans actually care about and can't stop fucking with it.

[–] theunknownmuncher@lemmy.world 13 points 8 hours ago
