Every public school student should go on a mandatory field trip to the local dump. Just so everyone is aware exactly what happens to their garbage. Too many people think it just disappears after they toss it in their garbage bin.

We are trashing the hell out of this planet and it's 100% unsustainable.

Most plastics take many decades to break down minimum. The year I lifted my game on my waste was when someone told me that somewhere in my home town's waste dump today was all the plastic swords and toys I used for a weekend and tossed during the local fair when I was seven. And will still be after I'm gone.
