And BP meds are known to cause things like arrhythmia and kidney failure.

Fuck you.

And alcohol is still far worse and people use it in moderation as well.

Anyone spreading drug war propaganda in 2026 deserves to have their naive worldview shat on.

This revealed links between drug use and strokes, but it could not prove the drugs were to blame: drug users may simply be more prone to strokes for other reasons, such as poorer general health.

This study is bullshit

What about business drugs though?

What about…

No they studied cocaine and amphetamines

So I get amphetamines and cocaine, but what could be the cause for increased stroke risk in cannabis users, if we're assuming a causal relationship? Do we also see stroke increase in tobacco smokers, could it be the smoke? Is the THC just fucking with our brain chemistry in such a way that increases strokes?

It's just a very interesting finding to me.

Smoking tobacco has a very well established associated increase risk of stroke, heart disease, and all other sorts of cardiovascular diseases.

This study is not even able to prove that anything increases a risk of stroke. They just found correlations here and there and drew conclusions not supported by the facts.
