They also depreciate their GPUs over 7 years rather than the couple of years they're useful for so their books are hella cooked.

Fuck Oracle.
I don't usually say this but honestly if you are working at Oracle in 2026:
You deserve this. You're working for pure evil. Be thankful you can now maybe get a job that doesn't involve destroying humanity and democracy.
Also in 2026
Ideally yeah but what if big tech controls all the jobs cause they just keep acquiring other companies?
yeah but what if
then the labor class better fucking get their ass in gear and start fighting for their rights again.

Daddy's son wants a movie studio.
It's not the movie studio they really care about. It's CNN for one.

What were thousands of people doing there? How much meat does it take to run a patent troll operation?
Oracle was trying to compete with GCP and AWS with OCI. Oracle cloud. This tells me they're going to shutter that.
Oh I fucking hope they do.
Tomorrow I have to do "cloud maintenance" on a Sunday because the fucking OCI decided that some production databases are "unstable" and need to be relocated. The same databases that a while ago could not enable data guards and failed to restore from backups.
Yeah, that's about the level of support I'd expect from Oracle.
I'm sure that's totally going to help OCI's reliability. And Ashburn won't die for 3 straight days again, like it did this week.
POP goes the weasel.
