The attack on Iran was “clearly a violation of the ban on the use of force under the UN charter and international law, which is the linchpin of the international order since 1945,” he told Guardian Australia on Sunday.

“Domestic criminal acts like the IRGC’s interference here, of course, are not armed attacks which would somehow justify military self-defence against Iran.

“You may not like Iran, you may not like what it does, but that doesn’t justify an aggressive armed attack on Iran.”

Can we find a word other than "elite"? I really don't feel they're elite, privileged billionaires, money dictators, Epstein class, rich evil cunts, I'm not sure just not elite.

To my ear the word "elite" in this context always has a built in ironic connotation, but I certainly do agree that there is nothing elite about them.

Perhaps our govt and others have stopped believing and holding to the rules-based order a long time ago. Give lip-service, yes. Do what is right by international and humanitarian law, no.
