/c/TenForward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!
Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.
~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags.
Use spoiler tags in comments, and NSFW checkbox for posts.
This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'
~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.
Fun will now commence.

Middle gif: Is it me, or does Dorn look like he’s barely keeping a straight face?
Between this scene and the ridiculous voice modulation they gave Worf, I can't blame him.
Of course Brent Spiner had to wear those safety goggles when they filmed, but I also love the in-universe idea of Data putting on a piece of safety equipment completely unnecessary for himself just to fit in with his friends.
The original schematics had a car or truck somewhere if I recall, along with a giant duck. (The technical manual was a blast)
I wish Lower Decks had covered the duck.
It was a Porsche, and there were lots of other tiny jokes on those panels along with it.
Scroll down to the "In-Jokes on displays" section on this page to see them, and how they had to be (usually) covered up when the camera got too close.
Is that a typo, or is "Here me out" part of the joke?
Nah, just my usual vague grasp of grammar and the English language at large.

So many people complained about the buggy but I never got it. We've seen tons of situations where the shuttles aren't totally viable so it makes sense that they'd have a backup. And humans like to have fun. If Picard never had a reason to bring that out until now, makes sense he'd want to enjoy it the same way any Dad does when they pull out a new tool/toy for the first time.
