You're getting downvoted because AI is causing so much damage and ruining so many things. People still using AI are just adding to the problem and continuing to legitimize the bullshit.
If you truly want to learn aesthetics, read some books, take some classes, get some practice. Learn a new skill!

Nit art but aesthetics. Similar but not the same.
And since AI is a stochastic machine that falls perfectly into its scope. Doesn't have to be "true" as in a correct answer but plausible eg similar to other models.
I tried Meshy and Trellis and Hitem. Next I'll try printmon.
Hitem has the best free option and portrait mode. Made some great busts.
Meshy looked great if cartoony with its model 6, but only let me download from model 4, which was a surprise and made monsters.
Trellis was in between and I ran out of huggingface tokens quickly.
I'd use hitem all day but not interested in paid subscriptions for my passing hobby. Hoping Bambu is handy with printmon again, though I expect it may be proprietary.
Also, all needed some cleanup, Bambu could fix slice and print but not adjust details and cuts. Started with Blender but the interface is hard for a CAD person. Switched to using Meshmixer, which works great, and just using Bambu to do a final fix of the stl before slice. Make solid is a helpful tool in Meshmixer if you get a good looking but imperfect stl, but you have to be careful to avoid losing detail.

@prenatal_confusion @T3CHT imagine how unfair #AI is to CAD designers with a human touch like those in #3DPrinting who have spent hours on a single project some projects it takes them weeks but if you want to use ai for example history based machine learning error recognition that’s something I can agree to that’s shared history as a community
I have been paid for and paid for CAD and other impacted engineering products including software. AI is unfair... How?
I can see some issues with copyright, and I acknowledge it will upset economies. But being able to 'automate' photo to 3d, and so many other tools that enable me so much to do things that wouldn't have happened before, it's unimaginable to many around me. Change is scary, strap in.
As is cad software to people that did technical drawings. As cars are to horses and ... So on.

The bambulabs generator, particularly with the hunuan 3.0 model is really good. I'm using it for custom boardgame minis.

It's free, but you need to be contributing models and stuff to get a lot of usage, although the monthly free amount is plenty for basic usage

your comparison of AI to calculators is simple and wrong. your perception of your grandfathers position on calculators is also wrong.
in studies it was found that students that had access to calculators performed worse on tests that banned their use. so yes, calculators made people more error prone and less likely to successfully calculate for themselves. the reason for this being far more related to AI than you probably imagine.
the human brain learns through patterns and long term repetitions. it's similar to how machine learning happens. multiple failures compound together to form a coherent strategy and skill. AI(LLM)'s are trained in the same way.
so, in essence, by using an AI to generate based off of stolen content it's similar to using a calculator for your brain. you're robbing yourself of the opportunity to grow and expand your horizons as a creator, and you're supporting a system of theft that only diminishes the hard work and efforts of those it stole from.

I have never used AI for my 3d modeling but please. EVERY remix on printables is "stolen". But actually not stolen because the cc license says "USE IT for non commercial".
What you are describing is "Don't use a service that steals for you. Spend years learning how to steal by yourself." If you aren't the Picasso of your generation and inventing an entirely new style like cubism, you are only stealing ideas that you see around you and teaching yourself how to incorporate those stolen ideas.
Many people are trying to solve little problems like "I want a 3d model of my cat.", not change the art world.
