Her first and last name

Her name ends with an A and during our earlier years together we were around a bunch of goats. So I kept calling her (name)-uhuhuh.

Her name in my phone is now that with a goat emoji because it's both hilarious and she's goated.

Everyone has their contact card as best I'm able to do it.

We only use last names at work, so I've gone into the "Nickname" field (iOS) and just put their last name in there. So when they text me, I get their last name and not their first since almost none of us use first names (it's considered trivial knowledge). A couple guys who have earned nicknames, have those instead.

My wife, my brothers, my sisters, my cousins, my nieces, my nephews, everyone's just firstname lastname and it's sorted by last name. Even my mother and stepmother have firstname lastname.

I could make use of the nickname field a lot more, but I don't.

I've got a policy of always having that pattern since I had 5 Michaels, 3 Daniels and 4 Davids with no way of telling them apart.

I put everyone with a {{ first name }} + {{ surname }} except for my SO, which is My {{ their nickname }}.

Their name

I just put people’s names in my phone as their actual first and last name; if I call them something else I put that name in the nickname field.

Super basic “skill” to do this. 😒

Full name with maiden name and a note that it's my wife (in case I'm hit by a bus or something).

When we were not-quite engaged and doing long-distance, my wife ganked my dumbphone and quickly edited my contact from {her name} to {her name}-mywife, no spaces, no capital letters. So now, twenty+ years later, that's what it still says, and that's how I address greeting card envelopes to her.

My husband is in my phone with a nickname of his old name. He took on a new name from our culture when he became a naturalized citizen, but I never changed it and he doesn't mind.

I was in his phone as "[my name] from café X", until he got a new phone last year. The first thing he did was take me on a date to a new café and proudly enter my number into his new phone as "[my name] from café Y".

She's twice in my phone. First is "1[name]", second is "ICE". ICE stands for In Case of Emrgency. It's not really nescecary anymore, because android has a build-in emergency contact function now. It's a remnant of a simpler time where nokia was still a prominent phone manufacturer.

Ive also had to change my mothers name in my phone from mom to her first and last names so I don't accidentally fuck up a voice assistant text

When I meet someone, and get their name and number they get put in my phone that way, and I never change it. Even if we end up married years later, I'll just update the last name.

His whole name: first, middle, middle, last. I also have him saved as my emergency contact.

Well, I call mine by her name. But also she has two entries in my Contact list.

One that I created when we met many years ago.

And another one for the secondary number/phone she got secretly, before she was diagnosed with mental health issues and started taking the appropriate medications.

I won't give out the exact details of the alias she created for her crazy secret life... But here's the photo I used for that Contact entry.

This ironically became her primary Contact entry, as her other phone was older and the newer one was never actually a secret anyway, she just didn't know I knew about it, and she didn't need two phone's after she got her shit sorted out.

But I've left that as her contact picture to ensure I don't ever forget who she could turn back into if she stopped taking her meds regularly.
