Cyclone Gezani made landfall on Tuesday, slamming into the country's second-largest city, Toamasina, with winds reaching 250 kilometers (155 miles) per hour.

On the Saffir—Simpson hurricane wind scale that would be an extremely strong category 4, just shy of the category 5 criteria!
