Post guidelines

Title formatPost title should mirror the news source title. If you don't like the title of article, look for an alternative source instead of editorializing it.
URL formatPost URL should be the original link to the article (even if paywalled) and archived copies left in the body. It allows avoiding duplicate posts when cross-posting.
[Opinion] prefixOpinion (op-ed) articles must use [Opinion] prefix before the title. Opinion articles refer to articles that their publisher doesn't explictly endorse.
Country prefixCountry prefix can be added to the title with a separator (|, :, etc.) if the news is from a local publisher who doesn't clearly mention the country.

Apple and Google ban apps that create sexualized images. But both companies offer dozens of apps that can strip the clothes off people.

Jeez, the fact that nobody is bothering to stop this sure makes me feel like the moral panic over protecting kids from social media is genuine...

Well yes of course! If we don't track the identity of every single person on the internet, how can we possibly prevent children from accessting these child pornography generators?!

Imagine the horror if twelve-year-olds were exposed to seeing the pornographic pictures Grok generates of them. They are way too young to see that kind of content!

Ideally women and children should be banned from the internet entirely, so that brave pioneering men like Musk and co can be left to pornographize them in peace.

This is written like satire and yet it is precisely what is happening ughhh

Bro, I get advertisements for sexbots and nudify apps on YouTube. All of them link to the app store.

Edit: tried to test the theory and it seems they have suddenly disappeared. Currently getting flooded with ads for TurboTax and financial advice. Will be back if I find one.

You should block ads

I suppose porn is always the first profitable use for a new tech.

But Google and Apple are always reassuring us that sideloading can't be allowed because they can't protect us with their app stores!

But don't track people who might murder you for inconveniencing them.

The fact that someone is purposely letting me see them nude is a major part of what makes it sexy. Using one of these apps would just make me feel like a creepy, disrespectful loser.

Self regulation doesn’t work.
