- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

Your constitution is worthless when you have an executive branch that doesn't care about it while having an overly loyal majority support of the legislative and judicative branch.
It was been by rich white men for rich white men.
It also takes complicity from the "opposition" party. Even with the loyalty of the legislative and judicial branch their actions should be moderated by the balancing quality in the Democratic process of "turn around is fair play".
Meaning that you don't want to do anything that gives grounds for your opposition to copy if they were to get into power. The problem being that the DNC has shown itself to not have a spine, equating tit for tat politics as beneath their dignity.

A lot of people were warning about this beforehand.
This shit will happen every day from now on until something is done about it- and complaining doesn’t seem to be the solve.
I hate to admit this but I'm terrified to go beyond complaining. I don't want to have to fight these fucking ghouls. But I guess the pool of options is evaporating.
Don't fight these ghouls. They are a symptom; oligarchs are the disease.
Register your complaint with the richest person within driving distance.
I remember this one guy registered a complaint with a CEO and it basically turned him into a national heartthrob

To none Americans, mentioning someone professionally killed for the US, is not the win it’s supposed to be
And those who "served in combat" is even worse.
Fuckers think it's a admirable thing to go to other countries and kill innocent civilians.
In my local jail, it can take up to a week to be able to call someone but typically more like 3 days. This is because the phones in the holding cells are often broken, so you need to wait until after bail is set and you go upstairs, and then they charge money to make the calls. Meaning, if you don't have an account already set up, you're going to have to wait until someone is willing to show you how to set it up. That's just for regular criminal issues.
When someone requests an attorney, all questioning stops dead. If they continue on, it becomes fruit of the poisonous tree.
That doesn't apply in this case, they dint care about court cases. The arrest and torture is the only point.
Believe it or not but most cops aren't as virtuous as Stabler and don't have a pretty blonde DA around to challenge them over what they would be willing to do to seek justice. And a "good" attorney can often work around that.
But also, that doesn't change anything. From skimming the article, it sounds like he wasn't being interrogated without a lawyer. He was just being left to languish in confinement. Which... is how the us legal system "works".
This is less "ice are bad" and more "all cops are bastards"
