Distorted proportions by the telephoto lens, and the high angle. There's nothing different about their feet structure, but I expect they all have a thick layer of callus on the sole.
There definitely is. A year after I switched to barefoot running from running shoes, my foot got a size shorter and significantly wider with gaps between all my toes when I apply weight. You can clearly see their widely-splayed toes, which people who wear shoes don't have.
there may be some distortion but you clearly see the straight big and pinky toes, that are usually deformed in people that always wore shoes, especially during childhood.
