The worst part about Trump being a dictator is...hes not even good at it. At least if he was an effective dictator maybe we could modernize the military or expand research into nuclear fusion. Instead we get unfinished data centers and invading...greenland...because he didnt win a Nobel (which everyone knows is a joke anyway)

US went from “We don't negotiate with terrorists.” to “We are the terrorists.” Sources: All recent happenings in the US. Killing of the innocent, invasion to the foreign countries, market manipulation, hostile takeover or the main govt. branches etc..

[–] CitizenKong@lemmy.world 23 points 11 hours ago

I mean they did proudly display "we are domestic terrorists" at a convention years ago.

[–] Cybersteel@lemmy.world 6 points 10 hours ago

They could shutdown a whole country with MasterCard and Visa alone

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 6 points 12 hours ago

and then negotiating with several state sponsored terrorist states, SA, russia,,,,etc.

[–] BiggestPiggest@lemmy.world 26 points 13 hours ago (2 children)

🎵"some say the end is near, some say we'll see Armageddon soon"

My least favorite part of all the accelerationists and doomers is this:

Do you think this is going to be quick? The U.S. is going to circle the drain for the next century, sinking further into Christofascism and dragging anyone they can with them. They'll beg for armageddon.

[–] P00ptart@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

I don't know that we can make that claim. There's a historical accuracy to that thought process. But there are also examples otherwise. It's definitely not as clear and etched in stone like some say. There's not a whole lot that our society shares with societies of the past. We have more guns than people, and obviously it's a lot easier to take out a ton of people with an AR-15 than a sword. If all the rest of the world turn their backs on America at the same it'll hurt a bit for the world, but it'd be the end of America rather quick. Beyond that, anti-vaxxers, climate change, social strife, there's just no way to guarantee what you say.

Brother if you think the U.S., the largest military and economic power in the world is just going to quietly die and not knock everything over it can on its way out idk what to tell you.

The current leader is threatening to seize sovereign nations because a random government didn't give him an award (that they don't even award), can you imagine his reaction if things actually get bad for him?

But it's true there's no way to guarantee what I'm saying and I actually hope I'm wrong.

[–] P00ptart@lemmy.world 1 points 20 minutes ago

Oh no, hell burn the whole world to fire and ash if he doesn't get everything his way. That's why I say don't be so sure it'll be a slow process.

Firstly, Greenland is part of Denmark, not Norway. Not the same thing.

Secondly, I might be wrong but I don't think the Norwegian government gives the Nobel prizes, an organization based in Norway does

Thirdly, how deranged does someone have to be to threaten war over not getting a peace prize?

[–] Librerian@lemmy.zip 5 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

Secondly, I might be wrong but I don't think the Norwegian government gives the Nobel prizes, an organization based in Norway does

Correct. The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded by The Norwegian Nobel Commitee, not the government. The committee consists of members appointed by the Norwegian Parliament – again, not the goverment. The commitee thus a private body, and the government has absolutely no say in their selection of the recipient.

Just shows how fundamentally ingrained it is in Trump's head that he thinks he's King and can dictate what everyone in his country does. It does not understand they any government doesn't have that power.

He's terrorizing Minnesota because the population votes for the opposing party. The madness with the Orange knows no bounds.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 9 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

also because walz stepped down from running for the gov, because hes too non-confrontational. the right wingers are trying to spin up the propaganda so that an R can take MINNESOTA, kristi noem even had to say it burned down a couple times to keep the lie going on CBS.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 1 points 6 hours ago

They think this will lead to MAGA taking overinmesota, they are delusional. This will only make it worse for them.

[–] obinice@lemmy.world 6 points 13 hours ago
