Kyrsten Sinema divided Democrats during her time in the U.S. Senate. Now she’s accused of dividing a husband and wife, too.

The former Arizona senator is accused of having an extramarital affair with her bodyguard while in office—an alleged relationship that ultimately led to the collapse of a 14-year marriage, according to a federal lawsuit filed by the bodyguard’s ex-wife.

Filed in North Carolina, the suit alleges that Sinema, 49, engaged in lengthy, sultry text exchanges with her former bodyguard, Matthew Ammel, including sending photos of herself wrapped in a towel and suggesting that he bring MDMA on a work trip so she could “guide him through a psychedelic experience.”

Christ in a bucket. She’s a piece of shit.

At least it was with an adult

Just waiting to find out Fetterman has been having an affair with a 9yr old and a donkey.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 7 points 3 days ago

WHO TOLD YO- ohhh haha. Yes, jocularity! Ah, who doesn’t enjoy some mirth now and again

IDF kompromat on Fetterman, could explain a lot.

Really currious what the overlap in really shitty politics and really shitty behaviors is. I mean obviously we've got the blatent shit at both ends like Gingrich, Trump, Sinema etc..

Clinton, kind of iffy on both ends there, I mean honestly he accomplished a lot of things republicans wanted but couldn't have done... ripping up Glass-Steagall etc.. His affairs could be looked at as far less, but I do have to point out the power dynamics are what should have been the bigger deal than they were. I haven't heard much on how Weiner's policies were, I don't think I've heard much on his policies, only his too hard to stop laughing at misconduct.

Larger than you think. To even want to seek out positions of power requires some amount of megalomania, egotism, and probably a little bit of sociopathy/psychopathy. Most well adjusted people don't do well in politics.

My partner works in a certain state legislature and, my friend, the stories I could tell you. Most of them involve affairs and/or drugs too.

She a top senator? To who?

Lawsuit for what?

Christ, I know Americans like to sue for everything, but suing the woman your husband had an affair with? Or am I missing something obvious.

[–] kn33@lemmy.world 11 points 2 days ago (1 children)

You about got it. It only exists in 6 states. It's called "alienation of affection"

https://wikipedia.org/wiki/Alienation_of_affections

[–] Corporal_Punishment@feddit.uk 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

That is fucking insane. So basically, in those 6 stages if I cheated on my wife it would be the other party who could be sued?

Christ.

[–] kn33@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

The other party could be sued. Also, your part in the affair will be part of the divorce proceedings.

[–] fonix232@fedia.io 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

There's plenty of legal things you can sue the woman your husband cheated with. Ruining the marriage, emotional stress/distress, loss of income due to the trauma and so on.

However cinnamon cunt should definitely be dragged in front of a Senate ethics committee as this behaviour is unfit for a representative and shouldn't be allowed.

[–] geekwithsoul@piefed.social 6 points 3 days ago (2 children)

She's a former Senator who hasn't been in office for a year. Even with this happening while in office, there's nothing for a Senate Ethics Committee to do at this point.

Public: “Hey, what ever happened to those Epstein files everyone was talking about?”

Lame-ass Media: “Shhh. Don’t worry your pretty little head about that. Here, have a relatively tame scandal story about a washed up former senator no one gives a shit about anymore. She had sex with someone! Can you believe it?”

[–] fonix232@fedia.io 2 points 2 days ago

She did this on the job. She should be punished for it - especially when cannabis users are spending hard time in jail.

[–] Drusas@fedia.io 2 points 3 days ago

The problem is that it's largely legal to file frivolous lawsuits.

[–] Archer@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

Look up alienation of affection

Okay I have to just say this for people unfamiliar with this drug. It literally causes sexual dysfunction.

You cannot get an erection on the drug if you have a penis.

If you are a woman it's drier than the desert.

The drug makes you feel "lovey dovey". You want to kiss. Grope. Rub.

But nothing works in the genital region.

Okay I have taken this drug a few times and so have friends. I also took it once with a bf.

You literally cannot have sex on it.

TV and movies have mislead the public.

Yes it makes you want to rub all over , but just not the genitals.

The human body's sexual arousal system is complicated.

Maybe this woman is a big ol hoe. Idk.

But she didn't run a train on mdma. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S030698770500006X

[–] Ageroth@reddthat.com 12 points 2 days ago (2 children)

I know one anecdote doesn't invalid proper scientific research but ... erections and even orgasm is not impossible on MDMA. I (a guy) have definitely had a bunch of sex on MDMA, not always to completion but sometimes.

The paper you linked states this at the end of the introduction, emphasis mine:

The phenomenological features of the psychological state induced by MDMA ** show some similarities** with features of the post-orgasmic state.
...
Here, we ** present the hypothesis ** that the impairment of sexual parameters after MDMA may be mediated by increased prolactin."

[–] daannii@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

I'm sure a young man with vigor might be able to overcome some of those effects.

Especially after a few hours after taking the drug since its strong effects don't last that long.

But the sexual physiological suppression is pretty strong and it's also strong in women.

She ain't no teenager with crazy hormones. Shea pushing menapause.

Things are already starting to work less dependably down there by that age.

And just to educate men who may not know this. It's difficult and painful for a woman to have sex when she is not sexually aroused. It's not just lubricant.

The genitals on women also go through physical changes. External genitalia plumps up. The muscles near the entrance relax and dialate. Lubricant forms all through the vagina increasing stretch. And also the muscles around the vagina relax.

When these things don't happen (especially the muscle changes), sex will be very painful and unpleasant and can result in tears and rips.

*(There was a long discussion on reddit a few years back where I told men that pressuring their girl to have sex when she wasn't in the mood will ultimately make her dislike you and not want to initiate sex or even be affectionate because it will be associated with pain. Pain that she will not tell you she is having because we have been conditioned In our society to not "ruin sex" for men by saying anything unsetting to them. Men's pleasure is prioritized and ruining it for them will result in hostility from them (usually).

Many women feel like it's easier to just give in than say no and risk the man getting mean or hostile. Or go around pouting. . So they do it even when they don't want to. And it always hurts. It's always unpleasant. - I got a lot of hate from men who did not like me telling them that they cause their partner pain when relentlessly asking for sex when their partner is not into it.

Men can't be better partners if they pretend that this isn't the reality of pressuring their partner for sex.

Those who acknowledge it are more likely to keep their partner and themselves happier.

Too much of sexual functioning for women is not taught and is unknown to most people, including women.

So MDMA + prolactin. Then it's all fun and games until you lactate

I'm in the wrong line of business

[–] KuroiKaze@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)
