I don’t know, the optics of naming things a lot of people will ride after famous women seem somewhat problematic

What? "Boris bikes" doesn't work for them?

I not sure forced naming of these things really works. You have to see what colloquial names pop up for things, and then decide if you want to adopt them officially. If people want to use a nickname, they will.

E.g. The tube is the tube because that's fun to say. Not because anybody had a focus group and selected it.
