Thunder also has user labels/tags.

[โ€“] mugthol@lemmy.blahaj.zone 19 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Voyager and connect do too

[โ€“] Zealotte@lemmy.zip 13 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I'm using Voyager, and I thought "we have that?"

Turns out you have to turn the feature on in the settings.

Thanks for the heads-up, person who is getting tagged.

[โ€“] SacralPlexus@lemmy.world 8 points 1 month ago (2 children)

I like the color coding too. People who misbehave get red tags so I know without even reading the tag to expect shenanigans. Excellent humans get a green tag.

[โ€“] Zealotte@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Aww. I like red, but I get it.

Time to start misbehaving!

[โ€“] SacralPlexus@lemmy.world 8 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Best I can do until you really act up.

[โ€“] Zealotte@lemmy.zip 6 points 1 month ago

Deal, and from your screenshot, I just learned that you can track votes too!

I'm learning so much today.

[โ€“] JigglySackles@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

Noice. That's some pinky up tagging.

[โ€“] dotslashme@infosec.pub 3 points 1 month ago (2 children)

It's a good feature, I just wish I knew how to make it appear on posts and comments.

I think you nailed the most passive-agressive way to get your point across. Thanks for the chuckle.

[โ€“] SanctimoniousApe@lemmings.world 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Not sure about posts as I guess I haven't tagged anyone, and then seen a post from them. On comments, tho, it automatically appears right under the username for me.

[โ€“] dotslashme@infosec.pub 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Right you are, I see it on comments.

What I miss from RES is that the tag used to link to the comment the tag was made on.

Oooh that would be useful

[โ€“] AmbiguousProps@lemmy.today 3 points 1 month ago

This would be awesome!

[โ€“] flatplutosociety@lemmy.world 12 points 1 month ago (2 children)

It's a simple life, but it's mine

[โ€“] Burghler@sh.itjust.works 10 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Hahaha I know exactly who this is talking about. They hallucinate sources and hang onto issues from 10+ years ago that were solved within a year after they happen.

You'll commonly find this guy in any Gaben or steam thread. Definitely try having a conversation with this one, it's entertaining

I wonder if they're ai and if you told them "not to hallucinate" if they'd be able to give you what you asked for.

Yeah it was definitely a bizarre experience

Same. Also makes it easier if I change instances in the future. Everyone I block gets a tag so I know in the future. I just wish I could change the green background to whatever color I want, on a per tag basis.

[โ€“] theskyisfalling@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Voyager you can assign a tag and a colour to said tag on a per user basis.

But I love boost other than this :( Does voyager work with Piefed like boost?

[โ€“] DarkSirrush@piefed.ca 10 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

Yes* but voyager has other issues that haven't been addressed (especially with piefed), and they have bad updates like hijacking the share button to their own instance instead of the one you are on, or the original post's instance.

Edit: Summit supports custom tag colours per user though!

[โ€“] AmbiguousProps@lemmy.today 5 points 1 month ago

I'll have to check out Summit!

I believe so but not 100% sure as I haven't dabbled with piefed yet

[โ€“] RickyRigatoni@retrolemmy.com 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

But you can export your account settings which includes blocks and import them into the new account

[โ€“] AmbiguousProps@lemmy.today 1 points 1 month ago

Yes, but this requires no exporting or other actions. Once a user tag is created, that's all that's needed.

didn't know that existed and I'm a boost user for years now ^^

[โ€“] Coelacanth@feddit.nu 7 points 1 month ago

Summit also has tags. It's definitely a great feature.

[โ€“] yakko@feddit.uk 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I accidentally cleared my cache from the first two years on Lemmy, and lost a lot of user tags. ๐Ÿ˜•

[โ€“] kuro_neko@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I should add cloud backup functionality.

[โ€“] yakko@feddit.uk 1 points 1 month ago

That would rule tbh

[โ€“] TabbsTheBat@pawb.social 4 points 1 month ago

Well I learned something new today :3

[โ€“] JigglySackles@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

Really wish jerboa had this feature.
