The latest ANNO game was Anno 117: Pax Romana, released in November 2025. Previous releases include: 1404, 1503, 1602, 1701, 1800, 2070 and 2205.

Posts, questions, rants, rankings, and discussions about the anno games are all welcome.

Experimenting with an "easy-fill" layout where houses are in regular 9x7 blocks.

I think it creates a nice view on sloping terrain, with each strip of housing peaking over the previous one. Here is the city at early-Equites stage.

And a zoomed-out shot of the same area...

Lastly, here is a nice seaside view from the town. This is where the thumbnail shot comes from.

The benefits of this layout were that it's very tileable, it plans ahead allow big public buildings close together (and close to the centre), and is easy to weave aqueducts into, because the housing blocks all have a gap for aqueducts or ornaments.

Expect another post next week if not sooner, and feel free to share your own screenshots!
