I've seen a small handful of series that have been officially uploaded to Youtube, check ItsAnimeJP. Not a lot, mostly older stuff and mostly subbed.

I subscribed when it was like $7 a month. It's hard to let go of the subscription when I have been enjoying it, but I can't justify the cost much longer.

meh. I don't feel any media is worth even that. they are lucky to get my eyeballs. I have said it before and I will say it again. Ill go back to reading. I mean it!
Pluto TV was offering some anime. Honestly, you will probably find stuff to watch through all the free streaming services, but you will have poor luck watching current stuff without a subscription or through pirate sites.
Honestly, it's time for the big squeeze from Sony, followed by complaints that nobody wants to pay for streaming anime.
Yeah I have been using more and more general streaming free services which seem to be getting more anime.
Yeah, I REALLY want to pay for anime and support the artists, even if the money doesn't go straight to them. The recent changes make this difficult.
Im not sure if I will get to the economic point where I would become a customer. If I did though anime would be more likely than others. I can at least say I generally like a lot of anime.
