Recently there was a bit of a controversy about the new coca-cola christmas adverts. Clearly AI generated, too many wheels, weird faces, etc. IRC coca-cola did focus groups. The conclusion was that people liked that the trucks were red and that they recognised the logo. If they even noticed it was AI, they didn't care at all.
If I was an artist or in a creative field, that would scare me. You spend years mastering your talent, only to find out you're easily replacable by vastly inferior AI slop.
On a related note, streamers like Netflix are increasingly producing second-screen content. Something you watch in the background while you're on your phone. Dumbed down plots, frequent exposition, lowest common denominator slop. Wouldn't be surprised if they increasingly start using AI too. Hollywood isn't safe either. Especially now that US cultural dominance and soft power is declining. America simply isn't cool anymore.
I think I hate Corporate Memphis more, because it's so closely associated with American Big Tech.
I'd rather be ruled by Skynet than facebook.
