Ok, so Boar's Head sells a prepackaged salami they call Charcuterie.
And?
They also sell small packages of their cheeses pre-sliced. Those cost considerably more per pound than if you asked the deli to slice it for you. I've sometimes bought them when in a hurry or on a road trip.
The same deli will also sell other brands of meats and cheese, typically 10% to 30% cheaper than Boar's Head.
And if you go to a different store, they'll have other things!
The contrast to actual meaning of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charcuterie is part of the point, I imagine.
They are not from the United States. They were quipping about something they think is funny or odd, because they wouldn't see it back home.
