Pretty sure all dogs think all things that walk are just big or small, smart or dumb dogs.
Showerthoughts
A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The most popular seem to be lighthearted clever little truths, hidden in daily life.
Here are some examples to inspire your own showerthoughts:
- Both “200” and “160” are 2 minutes in microwave math
- When you’re a kid, you don’t realize you’re also watching your mom and dad grow up.
- More dreams have been destroyed by alarm clocks than anything else
Rules
- All posts must be showerthoughts
- The entire showerthought must be in the title
- No politics
- If your topic is in a grey area, please phrase it to emphasize the fascinating aspects, not the dramatic aspects. You can do this by avoiding overly politicized terms such as "capitalism" and "communism". If you must make comparisons, you can say something is different without saying something is better/worse.
- A good place for politics is c/politicaldiscussion
- Posts must be original/unique
- Adhere to Lemmy's Code of Conduct and the TOS
If you made it this far, showerthoughts is accepting new mods. This community is generally tame so its not a lot of work, but having a few more mods would help reports get addressed a little sooner.
Whats it like to be a mod? Reports just show up as messages in your Lemmy inbox, and if a different mod has already addressed the report, the message goes away and you never worry about it.
They're well aware they are not dogs.
I don't think so. My border colli does the same with our chicken and with our kids.
Yeah the Aussie I used to have would heard my chickens as well. Was worried he'd kill them when I first got chickens... But walked outside one day and saw he had hopped the fence to their run and was laying in the middle just watching them peck around him. Never worried after that
Depends on the type of sheep dog. Herding types like border collies definitely know sheep are different.
But the big, fluffy, white sheepdogs were bred to hang around with the flock so they might see the sheep as their pack which they defend.
That's pretty much how we think about dogs.
I don't think so. Sheep don't smell like dogs.
Also I've never seen a dog try to make lamb-puppies
What do Welsh people think?
Who do you think are the sheep?
I don’t know. Have you ever watched competitive sheep herding? I wouldn’t want to step in between that dog.
Of course there's competitive sheep herding. Why not.
Only casual, social sheep herding for me.
I was a pro herder once. Even made it to the top. Till the accident. Now i train the bad kids to be the best sheep herders in the city. All they need is a shot!
I'm fine with competitive sheep herding but I'm definitely not dipping into Ranked.
I hear the sheepherding meta is toxic this season.
I saw it at a Scottish Games.
