I wonder whether there is a way to read Berserk legally in EU possibly online. There are options in Japan, few in US me thinks but none obvious in EU. And in case there is Amazon, I don't want it from there.

If you are fine with Google stuff: https://play.google.com/store/books/details?id=ewQtDwAAQBAJ

Otherwise, try eBay if you can't find a bookstore near you.

Or try finding one in a nearby country that ships internationally.

Yeah, content not available in your country says google. I'd really prefer e-reading instead of (internationally) shipping and having a physical books.

Understandable, I am the same. I'm sorry that these stores aren't available in your country. :/

How about supporting the series by buying official merch or buying physical copies, but still read unofficial online releases? Don't make it hard on yourself. Artists take value on their art being appreciated.

There is no store in the range of hundred kilometers that I know of, plus I prefer e-reading, don't really want to hoard them. If it was available from library, it'd be another story.
Edit: plus physical editions aren't exactly cheap for a single read.

You have to comprehend op, reading is an act of liberation. EU wants to control it's population. The last thing they want is for you to read a comic about perseverance against all odds. Whether they reenshrine literacy or not, they don't want you revolting against the bourgeoisie.

Do you mean from an EU company or just generally available in the EU?

In case of the latter: I'd recommend Kobo. I use that for most of my digital manga reading. Berserk is on it too (am in EU as well, not sure if same country. That might impact it). Kobo ebooks are also really easy to remove the DRM from.

Slovenia here, Berserk not available. Not surprisingly :( I guess buying from another country is not possible, is it? Stupid EU fragmentation.

Damn, that's unfortunate. Unfortunately licenses are still country-based. You can access other country's Kobo stores, but I don't know how the library works for that. I guess you could try that. Just to double check: make sure you're filtering on English titles. Kobo defaults to searching only in my native English for me and then it finds nothing.

Why is it being legal so important to you?

[–] Mihies@programming.dev 1 points 5 days ago

Because I believe that authors deserve a payment. I would if I was the author.
