Picked up my first vintage iron from someone on FB today. Excited to get it cleaned up and see how it compares to my Lodge skillets.

Test for lead. Apparently it's common to use these for melting lead for DIY bullets.

They're often free from local health departments, state/county

Really like the idea of a cast iron pot. I can imagine frying onions in this and them coming out magically.
