A review of the new version of Gnoppix AI Linux from DistroWatch. Seems to be in a fairly poor state and fulfills little of what it actually claims to do. Not shocked from something claiming to be an AI focused Linux distro.

From their website

this distro is just shady all over. even going to their site they said the project was based in Germany but states due to EU regulations had to relocate to the US BUT if you go to their jobs page they state they're now a "Japanese Linux Open Source Project" BUT if you decide to look even further into it the thing looks like it's NOW based out of Singapore. Also look at the sponsors in the page...Valve? Tuta? Google? I don't buy it.

Then you look at their "forums" and it's just...AI slop news articles?

This feels like a distro built by a crazy man almost on par with TempleOS.

I wouldn't trust this thing as far as I could throw it.

Terry on TempleOS was actually extremely talented but suffered a mental illness, this guy is just doing nothing worthy

yeah I agree Terry was extremely talented, I've seen what he did with game animations and it blew my mind.

This distro however does reek of being built by a crazy person as they rant about how Ubuntu was based on Gnoppix and rails against tech journalists and Kubuntu for some reason.

For me what really cemented this perception was this:

The ReadMe text file is truly a strange read and nothing at all like what I've encountered in any other project. It starts with a short rant against Kubuntu. Then it claims Gnoppix integrates AI into core applications, including e-mail and graphics editing. (As I will discuss later, this is misleading.)
[...]
The ReadMe file then goes on to rant about tech journalism, and then falsely claims Ubuntu was developed from Gnoppix. (Ubuntu is based on Debian).
