I've lived in Missouri. No matter where it appears on the map, Missouri is in the Deep South.
Imagine losing custody of even your cis-gendered biologically male child because a teacher caught them playing with barbie dolls, or my little pony toys. Or vice versa.
I would have been an instant orphan.
Missouri sounds like misery.
