They are probably asking him to be fired because he was involved in leaked information, not because of the content. They have done a great job limiting the amount of leaked information and probably view the leak as a threat.
The GOP knows what's coming with the Epstein files and Trump's steep fall into dementia. They also know they're getting an historic ass kicking in the upcoming primaries. They're setting themselves up to say, "Yeah, I knew this administration was full of shit all along."
